Weird Day of Football

I'm not just talking about the new-look Pats getting beat down....by the crappy Dolphins....at HOME (!!!). Though that was pretty awful. So strange to see the Pats at a loss to figure out the trick plays from the single-wing formation. I thought the Pats defense had some chinks in the armor...but not like this.

I also watched the Eagles-Steelers game. Eagles pass rush was dominating, and Roethlisberger got smacked around all day. I watched one play where the Eagles sent only three rushers against 6 pass protectors, and two of the rushers were on top of the QB in 1.5 seconds.

And of course, since the Pats lost, the only way to salvage this particular Sunday was to see the Indy defense get emasculated by the Jaguars run game. Crazy stat of this game was time of possession in the second half; Jaguars: 26 minutes, Colts: 4 minutes. Kudos to the Jaguars RBs for exposing the soft wussiness of the Colts defensive front.

I don't know what to think of this season. No clear favorites in the AFC and it's hard to know who's good and who isn't.
