Slow acceptance of Blu-Ray
Saw an article in the EETimes that shares my view of the future of Blu-Ray. Unfortunately, the charts aren't in the electronic version.
The estimate is that Blu-Ray will only have 1/3 of the optical disc market 5 years from now. Who knows if that's even close to being right? I wonder if that projection accounted for the consumer-led recession we seem to be in.

I saw an article on engadget about how blu-ray would exceed dvd in 2012. I have no idea if the people who say that are part of the motion picture studios or not...
I recently got Planet Earth from the BBC, disc 1 and watched it in Blu-Ray. It looked awesome. Of course, I have no comparison (and don't really plan on checking) how it would look awesome in plain 'ol DVD.
